K.K.K.T The Northern Diocese (formerly known as the "Lutheran Church of Northern Tanganyika before 1963) has its headquarters in Moshi which is opposite the main bus stop in the region. K.K.K.T The Northern Diocese has five provinces: Karatu, Siha, Hai, Kilimanjaro Central and Kilimanjaro East. The North Diocese is closely involved in the establishment of the Central Diocese, North Central, Meru and Pare. It currently extends the Lake Diocese of Tanganyika formerly known as the Rugby Mission before 2014. In partnership with other K.K.K.T Diocese, it has been involved in establishing and / or nurturing Lutheran churches in the DRC, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.
