Job Summary

Sense of Africa is a footprint brand of Tourvest Destination Management, a division of the Tourvest Integrated Group of Companies. Sense of Africa operates wholly owned offices in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia and Botswana. In keeping up with our current business needs, we are pleased to announce the vacancy of a HR Executive to be based in Arusha, Tanzania. Position Summary: The successful candidate will be coordinating HR functions, recruitment, learning and development, employee performance programs and maintenance of HR records.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: -

• Oversee daily operations of the HR department
• Act as the point of contact regarding labor legislation issues
• Implement effective sourcing, screening and interviewing techniques
• Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees
• Implement performance review procedures
• Manage employees’ grievances
• Designing and implementing HR filing systems ensuring they are well maintained and updated.
• Ensuring security, integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Liaising with Country manager to enforce and maintain company‘s policies and procedures as necessary
• Maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
• Overseeing of the administration department comprising cleaners, reception, security, dispatch riders.
• Assisting with any other duty as and when required by Management from time to time.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management/Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management/ Bachelor of Science
• 2 Years’ experience in HR field
• Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly. Fluent in written and verbal English
• ICT Proficient
• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activitiesAbility to work on own initiative and take responsibility where necessary and to work as part of a team.
