Call For Proposal Muhimbili University Of Health And Allied Sciences
Introduction to the Purpose: Long-term professional career development and scholarly independent research resulting in publications are critical for faculty and staff recognition, advancement, leadership capacity building, and promotion.A core element of the MIDI grant is to foster professional development. A scholarship mechanism has been established through grant funds to support the scholarly efforts of junior MUHAS faculty or staff of the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) or the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) with interests in TB and/or HIV.
The work that results from the scholarly independent research undertaken by recipients will be a strategic support of the professional development and mentoring activities of the MIDI grant.
Funding will be provided for up to three MUHAS faculty or staff with the NTLP or the NACP, to apply for $5,000 scholarships to conduct independent research in TB and/or HIV.
The scholarships will be competitive, and a detailed proposal will be required. Following a review (detailed below) and ranking of applications, the topmost 3 proposals will be awarded scholarship for the year.
