How To Get Job United Nations (UN) And Other International Development organisation

UN Jobs, United Nations, International Development Jobs, WHO Jobs, UNHCR Jobs, AU Jobs
Getting Jobs in United Nations (UN) Or other international Development Organisations must consider these four things as explained below:-
  1. KNOW COMPETENCE-BASED RECRUITIMENT.Competency-based recruitment is a process of recruitment based on the ability of candidates to produce anecdotes about their professional experience which can be used as evidence that the candidate has a given competency. Competency-based recruitment approaches generally rely on a series of assessments that are designed to help prospective employers and recruiters identify candidates who possess valuable skills, training, experience, and response mechanisms that can help them deal with the everyday tasks the specified position requires.
  2. PREPARE COMPETENCE-BASED CV.competency-based CV is particularly useful to show how your skills could transfer. It enables employers to see at a glance how your experience and skills match the needs of the job. It includes similar information to the more familiar chronological CV but the material is organised under a different sequence of headings. The structure of a competency-based CV might be around the following headings personal profile or career aim, Competency profile, Education and qualifications, Key achievements, work history, Interest and Reference.
  3. KNOW TO PASS COMPETENCE-BASED INTERVIEW.Competency-based interviews (also called structured or behavioural interviews) are more systematic, with each question targeting a specific skill or competency. Candidates are asked questions relating to their behaviour in specific circumstances, which they then need to back up with concrete examples. It interviews where each question is designed to test one or more specific skills. The answer is then matched against pre-decided criteria and marked accordingly. For example, the interviewers may want to test the candidate's ability to deal with stress by asking first how the candidate generally handles stress and then asking the candidate to provide an example of a situation where he worked under pressure.
  4. SEARCH FOR MENTOR/CAREER COACH FOR GUIDANCE. Finding a Career Coach. To find a career coach, first determine what kind of coach would be the best for you and your career path. There are industry-specific coaches and coaches for particular career needs (such as executive coaches and job search coaches). It's important to do your research. Ask trusted colleagues or your alumni association for recommendations. Then, look up the career coaches online and read their websites, articles or blogs to learn more about them
