Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) is located at the Southern Highlands of Tanzania in Iringa Municipality about 3 Kilometres from the municipal center. MUCE was established as a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) on the 1st of September 2005 by upgrading the former Mkwawa High School, in response to the growing demand of secondary school teachers. Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE), a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam invites job applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts:
1. ASSISTANT LECTURER (4 POSTS)
a) Areas of Specialization; Kiswahili/ Literature/ Linguistics/ Educational
Management and Administration or IT Security.
b) Qualifications and Experience
The applicant shall be a holder of Master’s degree with an overall GPA of not less
than 4.0 and a Bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of not less than 3.8 in the relevant field.
c) Age limit
The age of an applicant should not be above 40 years by the date of this advertisement.
d) Duties and Responsibilities
A successful candidate is expected to perform the following:
Teaching, research, consultancy and community services in his/her respective
area of specialization.
e) Remuneration: PUTS 2/1
2. TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (1 POST)
a) Area of Specialization; Political Science/ French or Literature
b) Qualifications and Experience
The applicant shall be a holder of Bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of not
less than 3.8 in the relevant field.
a) Age limit
The age of an applicant should not be above 30 years by the date of this advertisement.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
A successful candidate is expected to perform the following:
Assist in teaching, research, and offering of public service in his/her
respective area of specialization.
c) Remuneration: PUTS 1/1
Note:
1. All candidates who have pursued their studies outside the country should
attach a letter from TCU certifying the credibility of their training institutions
and certificates as well as grades translated into local equivalency.
2. All degree transcripts which were not graded, attach official GPA count from
the respective University
