The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has given a five-day warning of heavy rainfall that can cause effects including floods.
The report released by TMA said that the rains are expected to start on March 29 to April 2, 2019 and that they can have a negative impact on people's homes.
The rain is expected to occur in Rukwa, Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe, Songwe, Ruvuma, Lindi, Mtwara, Morogoro, Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Coast and Zanzibar.
In addition, the report said that the rains can cause problems in transport and stand up for some economic and social activities.
It explained that in April to April 2, 2019 the rains would be in Rukwa, Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe, Songwe, Ruvuma, Lindi, Mtwara, Morogoro, Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Coast and Zanzibar.
However, TMA has advised the Disaster Management and Emergency Service providers as well as other stakeholders to take appropriate action plans to address potential impacts.
