HESLB: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPEAL FOR OPENED LOAN APPEAL WINDOW 2018/2019

The Higher Education Student Loan Board (HESLB) informs all Students of higher education institutions that today, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 has begun to receive credit appeals for the 2018/2019 academic year through the Internet.

The submission of the submission will be open for five days, from today to Sunday, November 25, 2018 and is available via http.olas.heslb.go.tz. Pupils who have grown up with the qualifications will be credited to the loan before the end of this month of November, 2018.

HESLB has opened this window to provide opportunities for needy students who have not yet received a loan or are unsatisfactory with the amount of loan they were scheduled, submit information and documents to prove their need. Detailed instructions on how to submit and the required documentation are available online (http.olas.heslb.go.tz).

In order to submit information and appeal documents, the student should open the web site, read the instructions and apply through form four index number for this year (2018/2019) to log in and submit information only online.

To date (Wednesday, November 21, 2018), a total of 37,969 students of the first year have been credited and continue to study at various higher education institutions in the country.

In this year of study, the Government has allocated TZS 427.5 billion for higher education loans which will benefit more than 120,000 students including 83,000 of the second, third and fourth year students attending their annual examinations.


Welcome to our appeal window for 2018/2019 academic year. We strongly advise you to read and follow below-provided instructions to avoid submission of incomplete or incorrect appeal.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS 

  1. This window will be open for five days, from Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 through Sunday, November 25th, 2018 when the window will automatically close;
  2. All students who are not satisfied with loan allocations they have received plus those who have not been allocated are advised to apply;
  3. All appeals including necessary attachments must be done through online window;
  4. In order to help us process your application better, we will request you to respond to some questions.

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR 

  1. Did you apply for loan for 2018/19 academic year?
  2. If yes, insert your Form Four Index number and then password to login.
