Dar es Salaam. National Muslim Council of Tanzania (Bakwata) regional secretaries have been directed to protect the organisation’s constitution and property for the interests of the Muslims in the country.
This was said by Moshi secretary Sheikh Awadh Lema on behalf of others on Tuesday, November 20 during the Maulid Council meeting held in Korogwe District, Tanga Region at the national level.
“We, district and regional secretaries, across the country will protect the constitution and all the properties of the council and make sure we know where they are,” he said adding all the secretaries have changed after self-consciousness so will work hard.
The Maulid council meeting has was attended by several guests including government officials.
President John Magufuli was the chief guest, however, he was represented by Minister of State in the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, Mr Selemani Jafo.
