Important Notice on Registration and Orientation 2018/2019

This is to inform the applicants who have been selected to join various Undergraduate and Diploma programs at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) that the orientation week will officially begin on Monday 29th October, 2018 to Friday 2nd November, 2018 from 8:00am.
Selected applicants for Diploma Programs should report at their respective campuses as indicated in the admission letters. Admission letters and other instructions for Undergraduate and Diploma Programs should be collected from the Admissions Office at Muhimbili Campus. Selected Undergraduate students who are allocated rooms should report at the MUHAS Chole Road Hostel located at Masaki area near the International School of Tanganyika (IST) from 27th to28th October, 2018. Students who are not familiar with the location may wish to report at Muhimbili Campus where they will be taken to the Chole Road Hostels.
Registration will be done online from Thursday 25th October, 2018 through MUHAS Website. Make sure you bring the following items on the 29th October, 2018 at Muhimbili Campus for confirmation of your registration:
  1. Admission letter
  2. Original Birth Certificate
  3. Original Certificates of Secondary Education Examination; C.S.E.E, A.C.S.E.E or Diploma/Degree Certificate
  4. Four up-to-date black and white passport size photos, and four colored passport size photos bearing your name and the program of study at the back
  5. Filled Medical Examination Report Form
  6. Your Bank Account number and Name
  7. NHIF Student Registration Form (Available on MUHAS website). Copies will be provided for free at MUHAS during registration.
All necessary payments indicated in the joining instructions should be deposited as follows:
  1. For Undergraduate programsNMB Account No. 20901100002 in favor of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). In addition, all undergraduate students MUST pay a non-refundable TZS 10,000/= as contribution to Students Funeral Fund.
  2. Diploma Programs: (i) Muhimbili Campus: NMB Account No. 20901100016 in favor of Director, Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS) (iiMpwapwa Campus: NMB Account No. 50401100055in favor of Principal, School of Environmental Health Mpwapwa. KCMC Campus: NMB Account No. 40301100194 in favor of Training Center for Orthopedic Technologists (TATCOT). N.B: Tanga Campus: Report to the campus for more information.
Those who have fulfilled the above requirements will be registered for studies in the academic year 2018/2019 after producing original deposit bank in - slip.
Please note that selected applicants for Undergraduate Programs will have to join or show evidence that they are members of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) or other health insurance schemes in order to be registered.
Prospective students are advised to do all the necessary payments before arriving at the University so as to reduce unnecessary delay in the process of registration. All students are also advised to come with sufficient money to cover their subsistence expenses.
