Africans think the people of this continent are a community-based gathering in both languages and cultures, or not. There are over 3,000 independent tribes in each field. Among the ten major and popular tribes are the following:
- ZULU. This is the largest South African tribe with about 11 million inhabitants and probably the most popular in Africa where even many foreign tourists prefer to understand more about the tribe that among its traditional leaders was TShaka.
- MASAI. Masai is a prominent Kenya and Tanzania tribe with their unique African culture and are well-known for cattle breeding especially.
- WAOROMO. It is the most prominent and largest ethnic group in Ethiopia, producing 35 percent of the population in the country. It is located in northern Kenya and parts of Somalia.
- WAYORUBA. Their number is 35 million. Most of them live in Nigeria, some in southern Benin. That's the largest tribe in Africa.
- WAKALENJIN. This tribe that is located in Kenya is the most popular for the world's longest athletes.
- WAHAUSA. It is the largest ethnic group in Sudan, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Togo, Cote d'Ivoire, Sudan and Ghana
- WAHIMBA. These are one of the most famous African tribes; are Namibian residents, famous for 'scrattering' their bodies with red clay so it's known as "red people".
- SAN BUSHMEN. The tribe in English is known as San Bushmen, located in western Botswana where it is famous for The The Gods Must Be Crazy film that they participated in playing. They live in parts of dense water
- CHAGGA. These live in the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, believed to be the first creed of Christianity, which made them more educated and better living among the colonial nations in Africa.
- XHOSA. These live in South Africa and are famous for their unique style of speech, especially for oral expression.
