Keyboard is text based input device that is a among computer device that used for typing and running programs of the computer.

IMPORTANT KEYBOARD KEYS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS
The following below are the main 14 keys found in most of keybords:-

  1. ENTER  It is used for running programs, opening files and documents. It also used when you want to make paragraph or new line.
  2. TAB. This key is always used to move the cursor between cells in a table. It is also used for tabulation purpose.
  3. SHIFT. It is used when person want to type the characters found above the other in the same key. For example characters like ?, %, &,  * , <,  >. Thus yoi should press and hold it and press the character you want at the same time.
  4. CAPS LOCK. It is used when computer user want to type capital letter or small letter.
  5. NUM LOCK. This key used for lock or unlock the number found at the right hand side on your keyboard.
  6. PAUSE KEY. This key used to stop tje display.
  7. END KEY. This used to take you to the end of a line in a document.
  8. THE HOME KEY. Also this key found in keyboard used to take a computer user to the top of  a document in an application.
  9. FUNCTIONAL KEYS (F1-F12). These keys are located at the top side of keyboard. They are normally used when someone install program or as a short cut if you do not want to use your mouse.
  10. DELETE. It is used when you want to delete or clear text direct from left to right.
  11. BACK SPACE. It is a key that removes the characters to the left of the cursor in a document, used to delete when you want to clear or delete text direct from right to left side.
  12. THE PAGE UP AND PAGE DOWN KEYS. Also these found in keyboard used to flip forward and back to the next screen page in an application.
  13. THE CURSOR CONTROL KEYS. There are four (4) arrow keys at the bottom are used to move the cursor in the direction of the arrows.
  14. CTRL AND ALT KEYS. These both keys also available in our keyboard used to perform special functions in our computers.
