Most of people are hear and not listen. Why hearing and listening. Hearing is a natural receiving of voice by ears when somebody talk but listening is acitve paying attention to receive a voice from a speaker. Thus you can hear things but you can understand what he or she talk but when you listen you understand and remember it in case someone ask you can tell him or her what a speaker said. When talk about feedback is response for something for example someone asked you a question when you answer it is a feedback, summarize what speaker say and take a citation for example speaker say " we have to commit ourselves to .......". So to be effective listener have to give or provide feedback when asked on what a speaker speak about. 
2. Do not judge. In order to become a good listener must avoid judge a speaker the way she or his, yiu have to concentrate and be focused on what she talk about.
