JamiiForums is currently in need for field research assistants to work temporarily to conduct a six (6) weeks data collection activity. The research is a small pilot study based in the Dar es Salaam region for internal purposes related to our area of work. They will be assigned to the required field work.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Aged between 20 and 26 years
  • Diploma or Degree in any field of study
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing fluently in Swahili and English
  • Interviewing and data collection skills
  • Computer data entry skills
  • Skill in the use of computer spreadsheet and/or database applications in the compilation of research data
  • Ability to evaluate, verify, and research data

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the Responsibilities of an intern

  • Seeks information from mentors and colleagues regarding the history, purpose and mission of JamiiForums
  • Works with social media engagers and content moderators in ensuring discussions on the forum and social media outlets run smoothly
  • Helps the programs team implement program events and activities by giving support
  • Participates in in-house meetings where local issues are identified and prioritized, and program results and plans are discussed
  • Assists in preparations for planned events and activities by gathering information, assembling materials, contacting participants, and soliciting support from external sources.

  • A degree in Education, Journalism ar related field
  • An active member with a Minimum of 1 year of membership on JamiiForums

JamiiForums is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant with the capability to administering and communicating needs by creating a comfortable, well-managed office environment and support to the team and visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Assistant maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, picking up and delivering items and serving customers, visitors and employees. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Operations and Programs Director (OPD)

The following are the Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

  • Ordering supplies to ensure that the office has the proper materials and essentials to maintain efficiency
  • Receiving calls and forward those calls to the necessary party
  • To maintain client satisfaction by making sure their queries are taken care of.
  • Organize and manage to bill and overseeing that payments are made promptly
  • Office Equipment and furniture Management
  • Other duties as assigned by the OPD

  • Aged 24 years and above
  • Should have a minimum of Diploma

JamiiForums is currently in need of a transcriber to translate recorded or live audio/video files into text format.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A transcriber is responsible for note taking on all engagements organized by or attended by JamiiForums and providing written versions of audio or video recordings or live broadcasts of meetings, events or conversations.

The following are the Responsibilities of a Transcriber

  • Listen to recorded dictations to interpret and transcribe them, translating any industry-specific jargon into long-form text, such as legal terms
  • Attend events or meetings on behalf of JamiiForums and provide written format translation to all conversations
  • Assist rapporteurs by providing text covering all activities at events organized by JamiiForums
  • Work closely with Content Quality Controllers in increasing content value by converting content on JamiiForums from Audio/Video to text
  • Other tasks as assigned by Content Production Manager

A Social Media Engager oversees all Social media activities of all JamiiForums outlets and makes sure all Social Media Platforms are active all the time and the content falls in line with our policies and values. The SME reports to the Content Production Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the Responsibilities of a Social Media Engager:

  • Provide input in creating a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use online techniques to increase visibility and traffic across platforms
  • The primary responsibility is to manage and implement engagement as stipulated in the organization’s social media strategy
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images and video) that encourages community members to take action
  • Identify potential opportunities within Social Media Platforms
  • Identify potential risks across platforms (be it - political, racial, religious or gender)
  • Provide input in creating a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility and traffic across platforms

JamiiForums is currently hiring Content Managers (moderators) to work on the user-generated content on the platform with the end goal of having quality content while ensuring discussions follow Community Engagement Guidelines and our Platform’s Editorial Policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Content Manager is responsible for maintaining content order on the assigned forum(s) by handling content and users. The CM reports to the Production Manager.

The following are the Responsibilities of a Content Manager:

  • Monitoring, Editing, updating all content on JamiiForums according to the Editorial Policy
  • Maintaining order throughout the proceedings of discussions by ensuring that members abide by Community Engagement Guidelines/Forum Rules
  • Engaging members in different discussions on the news and various agendas on the forums when necessary
  • Ensuring that the interactions remain within the identified theme and focus.
  • Alert on any Newsworthy content such as Breaking News to all Staff; this includes recommendation of content to be shared/disseminated on our Social Media Platforms

The Content Quality Controller reports to the Production Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the Responsibilities of a Content Quality Controller

  • Review incoming user-generated content from a qualitative perspective in order to make sure that it meets standards
  • Monitoring, Editing, updating all content on JamiiForums according to Company’s Editorial Policy so as to maintain Quality of Content from the site by our clients.
  • Keep moderators informed over content/topics that need to be removed, modified, closed or need quick response in case they have not been attended
  • Monitor and review content to be shared on social media outlets to make sure it meets our standards.
  • Updating and improving the quality of posts for archiving
  • Suggesting changes to be done to the forums or social media pages due to member or content managers’ demands
  • Provide guidance to content managers on what threads they should work on, how they should solve uncertainties, live stream of events and other things they may face
  • Replying to members on queries related to content management
  • Providing weekly content and engagement analysis to Content Production Manager and Content Monitor

JamiiForums is currently in need of a Content Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (CM&EM). The CM&EM will track, monitor, report and recommend on the impact of content on JamiiForums platform and all social media channels. The Content Impact Manager reports to the Operations and Programs Director and occasionally to the Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the Responsibilities of the Content Impact Manager

  • To monitor the flow of discussions on all the forums on JamiiForums.com and noting down any necessary factors that affect impact of posts
  • To monitor news and find results or actions taken as a result of JamiiForums content
  • Give input on the day-to-day execution of social media messaging such as posting relevant content on outlets e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and other social platforms
  • Stay current on all social media trends; generate innovative ideas for driving engagement on the social platforms by analyzing statistics
  • Propose necessary changes on the contents and topics posted on the forums such as amendments and removal of threads, edits, merging or moving the posts to the appropriate thread
  • Produce regular internal monthly reports showing the impact of JamiiForums content for members, Government officials and different institutions
  • Produce monthly reports on performance of content on all JamiiForums’ social media channels and recommendations for the social media team to increase performance
  • Give presentations on behalf of JamiiForums on meetings with stakeholders and partners where necessary

JamiiForums is currently hiring a Content Production Manager (CPM) to supervise, monitor and oversee the flow of content on JamiiForums.com platform and all social media channels by making sure the Content Quality Controllers (CQC) are responsible for the platforms in maintaining the desired quality (and quantity) and then oversee day-to-day execution of Social Media content flow such as posting relevant content on social media e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and others as may be agreed by the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Content Production Manager reports to the Operations and Programs Director and occasionally to the Executive Director.

The following are the Responsibilities of the Content Production Manager

  • To supervise and monitor the flow of discussions on all the forums on JamiiForums.com through making sure Content Quality Controllers are responsible for the platforms in maintaining the platform standards
  • Make sure the day-to-day execution of social media messaging such as posting relevant content on outlets e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and other social platforms
  • Stay current on all social media developments and best practices; generate innovative ideas for driving engagement on the social platforms
  • Propose necessary changes on the contents and topics posted on the forums such as amendments and removal of threads, edits, merging or moving the posts to the appropriate thread
  • Monitor and report content trends including that of social media using tools that will be custom made for the task
  • Make sure the team responds to user inquiries/comments on issues raised by JamiiForums clients
  • Make sure all content-based staff draft engaging content for external communications and social networking platforms
  • Enforce building and maintenance of relationships with high profile users including corporate organizations registered at JamiiForums
  • Plan, follow-up and make sure in-house trainings are executed
  • Produce regular internal monthly reports regarding overview of the JamiiForums Platform and Content Managers performance and activity
  • Produce monthly reports on performance of content on all JamiiForums’ social media channels
